Travel Lessons

Travel lessons are in the student’s home. The travel lesson provides a convenience and luxury for busy families: no longer will you have to commute to the lesson, hassle with weather or traffic, stress over forgotten music books or supplies, load up a car-full of kids, or juggle multiple children during lessons. Let me come to you!

In addition to the convenience of travel lessons, students receive top-level instruction and learning from my wealth of experience and knowledge on the familiarity of their instrument. My travel teaching bag is full of rhythm instruments, music theory cards, music games, manuscript paper, an iPad with music apps, and music. 

Private weekly lessons range from 45 or 60 minutes. As the student progresses, it is natural for the lesson time to grow with the student. Longer lessons or multiple lessons per week are available for advanced students. Younger siblings (ages 4 -5) may take 30 minute lessons.

The weekly private piano lesson includes the monthly group lesson in my studio. Explore here all the fun & learning students have at the monthly group lesson!

Monthly tuition (see current calendar). The tuition includes a weekly private lesson, monthly group lessons, special performances, and the Red Carpet Spring Recital. 

Monthly tuition provides continuity and efficiency for families. The months with 5 weeks of lessons evens out the months with 3 or 4 weeks of lessons.

Fees. The 2025/26 semester supply fee is $50 per student, due no later than the first lesson of each semester. The supply fee covers lesson supplies, a selection of music, group lesson costs, access to my music subscriptions, and special performances (with the exception of the Christmas parade).

Monthly tuition will be pro-rated for students who begin lessons after the 1st of the month.

For travel lessons outside Swansboro, the rates will be adjusted to include additional travel time.

2025 Summer Lessons: Session I is from June 3 to 26 (lessons available on T and W). NO LESSONS IN JULY. Session II, August 4 to 18. Summer sessions have a flexible schedule to accommodate students who attend summer camps and have travel plans. Summer sessions are an opportunity for new students to take some lessons and see if SPS is a good fit for your family. Contact me for more information (semprepianostudio@icloud.com).
